That meant Friday power front Boris Diaw swung from center one minute to playing the tip the next.
Diaw seemed in decent shape Friday. He played throughout the summer, first with the French subject team, and then for the team he owns in Bordeaux.
"I never really stopped playing," Diaw said. "I'm the proprietress, the president, the player all at the same time. So I kind of picked-and-choosed when I was practicing. I took my Mondays off."
Diaw said he played for the lowest salary in France, while handling a variety of off-court administrative tasks. He said it was fun, but he was also relieved the lockout was settled and the opportunity ripe saved, two months after training camps were supposed to start.
Maggette, who arrived from Milwaukee in a outline-night trade, said the problem for every player this preseason is no one knew when or if the time would begin.
"We still need to get in shape. It's going to take a few days to get our wind back," Maggette said. "You do the most excellently you can in this situation because you can't really pinpoint when to start training, so as not to overtrain.
