It is the capabilities of dreams.

Hometown kid returns to the area in which he grew up and cut his teeth as a prep quarterback, breaking records and achieving milestones at the provincial powerhouse program.

A row of family and friends in the upper deck at Reliant Circus shows up decked out in Cincinnati orange and black and some even in TCU purple to watch the all-grown-up Bengals rookie quarterback Andy Dalton’s homecoming against the Texans in the AFC playoffs.

“It’s a hallucinate come true for all of us,” said Kelly Payne, 64, Dalton’s uncle.

And while the circumstances arrived in almost storybook the fad, the result was anything but.

The 24-year-old Katy High School goods started well but, like many of his Bengals teammates, struggled down the stretch in his pair’s 31-10 loss to the Texans in the AFC Wild Card playoffs on Saturday at Reliant Arena.

“We lost and it’s not what we wanted and it’s unfortunate,” Dalton said.

What a callers like Kellogg’s regards as an all right amount of sugar in a serving of breakfast cereal may not be what a nutrition-appropriate stepmother would pick out. The cutoff adopted by Kellogg’s is 12 grams (3 teaspoons of sugar), which would keep them from promoting Cocoa Krispies (14 grams of sugar in a one-cup serving) to children. But Frosted Flakes, with 11 grams, could still be advertised in venues where children 6 and older will see them. (The circle does not aim advertising at children under 6.)

Also, since each performers sets its own guidelines, what applies to Kellogg’s might not register to products made by Run-of-the-mill Mills or Pale.

If children under twelve are eating Frosted Flakes for breakfast, it’s because their parents or other caretakers are buying it for them.

I deem a big offender here is advertising aimed at adults. When Dunkin’ Donuts and McDonalds puts their waste on billboards and calls it “thriving,” how many adults are enlightened enough about both nutrition and advertising idiolect to belittle the claims?
