Wallenda has said that, if Canadian officials don't modulation their minds, he'll find another way to take to the high-wire without entering Ontario.
He hopes that Friday's converging with Ontario Tourism Minister Michael Chan won't obtain that necessary. Chan could overrule park officials' negation of a permit for Wallenda if he decides the high-wire act should go ahead, the Buffalo Tidings reported . "I'm still very optimistic," Wallenda's straw boss, Winston Simone, told the News.
The planned show has been in the works for months. New York nation lawmakers in June passed a bill that lifted a rule against "stunts" and other adventurer actions at the falls to clear the way for Wallenda's walk. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the bill -- which would crib the stunting ban for Wallenda's act only -- in September.
