HUNTSVILLE, Alabama--As part of the 42nd annual Winter Wine Result, the Women’s Guild of the Huntsville Museum of Art will again present the Backers of Bacchus Dinner on Jan. 27 in the Loretta Spencer Passageway of the Davidson Center for the Arts.
The Women’s Guild has provided shore up, both monetarily and through volunteerism, for more than 40 years. Its mission is to enrich, inspirit and promote awareness and appreciation of the knowledge of the visual arts. Through their endeavors, the guild promotes lesson, supports exhibitions and acquires art for the museum. In addition to the wine conclusion, the guild hosts cultural and fundraising events, such as Art in Bloom and Interior decorator Showcase.
The dinner, as with all guild events, will be elegant and fun while raising lettuce to support our museum. Guests in their cocktail best will dine on great cuisine from Chef James Boyce of Cotton Row.
“The evening will take you on a voyage through the foods and wines of France,” said Rachel Matheny, council member. “A spectacular meal will be presented by award-victorious Chef James Boyce. The four-course dinner will be complemented with French wines by French wine whizzo Larry Wilken, founder and owner of Pinnacle Imports. He will perform wines from the regions of Champagne, Loire and Bordeaux, From beginning to end, your tastebuds will be tantalized by flavors and nuances of the French countryside.
