MARTIN COUNTY — Stuart Mesial School will be participating in its fourth annual Hoops for Heart event next month and is hoping for even control superiors results this year.

Last year, SMS raised $8,530 — 100 percent of which goes to the American Heart Syndicate — which was first among Martin County schools, ninth in the state and 83rd in the native land out of 19,194 participating schools, according to information provided by SMS somatic education teacher Chuck Gutschmidt.
