@314299 I am not surprised, the one I had though, was not perforated, it was moral just any grooves in it! it was at best about a glassy sink haha! so I sold it for 400, more then i paid for it in December, so i was pleased. And I looked all over the position for ammo, I found 20rnds once. and that was it. So I replaced it with a brno 98. 8mm is unexacting to get!

The SVT-38/40 was produced and issued in unselfish numbers before the US produced eloquent quantities of the Garand. Yes, the M1 was adopted for services earlier but it was not issued in notable quantities until 1941. The SVT38 was issued in big-hearted numbers in 1939. In the end the Garand was a advantage and more flavourful go through and more were made by the wars end, with the Soviets stopping fabrication of the SVT series in favor of making more of the simpler Mosin Nagant structure.
