Looking for that unrivalled piece to complete your décor? Or need to unload all that good stuff you’ve been hoarding?
Mike Peever, of Mae-ger Treasures, believes he has the guarantee b make amends for — or at least he will tell you he does.
Peever, a car salesman by trade, cultured the buy and sell business in Western Canada, and returned home to Bruce Mines because, “No one was doing it in Bruce.”
Mae-ger Treasures opened its doors November 2005, on the south side of Highway 17. The spot has had a few businesses, including C & S Web Design, Apple Creek Gifts and a arms store.
Peever laughs as he relates how a couple from Nova Scotia revenue to see how “I’m doing.” He has reason to smile; he made it to Cuba last winter and has now scheduled his first burgeoning for April.
“He is good at what he does,” says his mother, Donna. “It’s reputable to have him back from Calgary and doing so well. I’m so proud of him.”
The entire Peever family is knotty in the business. Peever’s father, Dave, covers at the store when his son is buying at auctions. His better half, Carolyn, helps with purchasing and Donna once helped with organization. Fettle issues have, however, curtailed Donna’s continuance in the business, but she says she’s “there in heart” and is disappointed she can’t take control of the new expansion.
