Undulation out of bed on New Year’s Day and your first thought may not run to which fashion and beauty trends you’ll see and impair throughout the year, but given the generally accepted notion that being “in” is best than being “out”, we consulted our crystal ball and asked supranational trend spotters and forecasters to offer their insights as to what’s hot for 2012.
Start by chasing away that 2011 hangover with a gust of bright colour.
An orange-red colour named “Tangerine Tango” which is formally known as Pantone sprinkling #17-1463 is the colour of the year, according to the experts at the Pantone Loyalties Institute, a global colour forecasting company that gathers and analyzes hue-related information for fashion designers and other businesses.
“We based our determination for colour of the year on survey responses gathered from approximately 100 to 125 top shape designers, and included the responses of both well established and young, up and coming designers in our over,” says Leatrice Eiseman, a well known author of books on distort theory and the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
